Periphery is an American progressive metal band from Bethesda, Maryland formed in 2005. The band is known for their heavy, modern, and progressive sound that includes polyrhythmic patterns and soaring melodies. They are regarded as one of the pioneers of the djent movement in progressive metal.

Guitarists Misha Mansoor, Jake Bowen, and Mark Holcomb are now using JamUp and BIAS while touring and in the studio.

Bowen says: One of the coolest things about BIAS is that it enables you design your amp from the ground up, and you can specify things like what kind of tubes are in the preamp, power amp… you can change the tubes just by even tapping on them, you have all different types of preamp to adjust to your liking. Another great feature is the power amp, you can adjust and change the tubes, some amps have 6L6, you can touch it and change it to EL34… you can also change the transformer just by touching it. You have a whole range of 2×12, 4×12 and 1×12 to play around with to really get the tone you are looking for”.

Holcomb says: “JamUp and BIAS comes factory loaded, but you can customize everything: from the cab combo, to eq, to the power amp… the jam section lets you play with speed pitch and volume with any song you load in. Also, another really cool thing is the recorder, if I have an idea I don’t want to forget, I’ll go ahead and just plug in right in…  the quality of the tones I get out of these are unbelievable”
